                          Our History

In 2006, B.E.S.T began its mission under the leadership of our Founder and Chief Encouraging Officer, Myeshia Roberts. Myeshia, who became a mother at 14, and understands the daily challenges  teen mothers encounter and the vital role of support and guidance. Her primary objectives include: 

  1. Creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for young mothers. 

  2. Working towards reducing repeat pregnancies. 

  3. Providing access to educational opportunities, life skills training, parenting education, career stability, and lifelong support. 

Myeshia has dedicated over two decades to human and social services, starting in 2006. She began her career at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission in the Houston-Metro and Dallas-Metro areas of Texas. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2010, she continued her impactful work with the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services and Fulton County Health and Wellness. Myeshia holds an Associate's and Bachelor's degree and is currently working towards her licensed master social worker (LMSW) degree.
